EG LNG hits 2 mln hours injury free milestone

EG LNG said it has reached the milestone of 2 million work hours without a recordable injury on September 8th, which took 880 days to accomplish.

EG LNG’s HES Manager, Larry Parker, said, “We put very little focus on these time-based milestones but there’s a lot of pride within our workforce with how safely and efficiently we operate our plant. The commitment for safety at EG LNG starts at the top and we engage our employees and contractors at every level in our HES processes. This is a critical part of our safety performance.”

EG LNG operates a 3.7 million metric ton per year liquefaction plant located in Malabo, Bioko Island. The company is planning to build a second train at the plant with a capacity of 4.4 million metric tonnes of LNG per annum.
