Egypt set for Nigerian LNG cargo

Höegh Gallant FSRU, which started serving as Egypt’s first LNG import terminal in April, is to receive an LNG cargo from Nigeria.

The LNG Ondo, with a capacity of 148,478 cbm, is expected to dock next to the FSRU in Ain Sokhna around October 9, ship tracking data shows.

The 170,000 cbm FSRU, owned by Norway’s Höegh LNG was chartered by the Egyptian Natural Gas Company on a five-year deal.

Egas also selected Singapore-based BW to provide LNG regasification services utilizing an FSRU in Ain Sokhna.

The FSRU BW Singapore arrived in Egypt in September, and will soon start serving as the country’s second LNG import terminal.
