Eidesvik platform supplier wins new job with Equinor

Norwegian offshore vessel owner Eidesvik Offshore has been awarded a contract with compatriot oil company Equinor.

Eidesvik Offshore said on Wednesday it has been awarded a new contract by Equinor for the platform supply vessel (PSV) Viking Queen.

The new contract will start in April this year, in direct continuation of the current contract with Equinor.

The new firm contract period is 10 months, with options for further extensions.

To remind, Equinor in February 2020 awarded a new contract to the Viking Queen, in direct continuation of the previously existing contract expiring end February 2020.

The firm period of the new contract was eight months, with options for further extensions.

The Viking Queen vessel is of a VS 493 AVANT LNG design built in 2008 by Westcon Yard in Ølensvåg, Norway.

Also on Wednesday, Eidesvik was awarded a new contract by Seabed Geosolutions under the master time charter agreement for the Subsea Viking vessel.
