EWC Spuds Sheoak-2 Well

As outlined in Energy World Corporation Ltd. (EWC) 2012 Annual Report, EWC has been planning to drill a further appraisal well in ATP 549P by twinning the existing Sheoak- 1 well.

As a follow up to planning, the Directors of EWC announced that this twinned oil and gas exploration well located in ATP 549P in the Cooper-Eromanga Basin, Queensland, Sheoak 2 was spudded on 27 April 2013. The well is being operated by Australian Gasfields Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of EWC.

The programme is expected to take approximately 25 days to complete the drilling operations of the 2382 meters deep well utilizing MB Century Rig 3.

Primary targets of the well are the Permian Toolachee and Patchawarra gas sands formations and their associated coal seams. The purpose of the drilling is to further appraise the availability of conventional and unconventional gas to complement the input to the future reserve and resource assessment of EWC.
