Ex-Standard Chartered director becomes Pacific Radiance CFO

Singapore’s offshore support solutions provider Pacific Radiance has appointed a new chief financial officer (CFO) of the company with effect from April 3, 2017.

Pacific Radiance said on Friday that the board of directors and the Nominating Committee named Chia Iris as the new CFO following a review of her qualifications and work experience.

In their opinion, she possesses the requisite qualifications and experience to assume the responsibilities of the chief financial officer.

The company said that the appointment is executive in nature and that Chia would be responsible for the Group’s finance function, including accounting, financial reporting, tax, and treasury matters.

She previously worked as executive director, responsible for Singapore Corporate Coverage, in global asset management company Natixis. According to a statement from the company, Chia left the company after working there from February 2015 until March 2017.

Prior to this, Chia was with Standard Chartered Bank as an executive director, responsible for origination and client coverage across client segments.

In a separate statement by Pacific Radiance, the company said that Loo Choo Leong resigned from his position as the Group Finance Director with immediate effect.

The company said that Loo left to pursue other career opportunities. While at Pacific, he was responsible for overseeing the Group’s overall financial, accounting, taxation, corporate finance, and treasury matters, ensuring compliance with financial reporting requirements.

He was also the member of Executive Committee and owns 1,550,070 shares in the company.
