Exoma Energy: Alma-1 WellI Reaches Total Depth

Exoma Energy Limited announced the Alma-1 exploration core well was drilled to a total depth of 1302 metres and has been completed for future testing.

The well cored a 217 metre section of Betts Creek and Aramac coal measures. A total of 15 metres of coal samples were put on desorption testing to measure gas content.

In addition chip samples were taken from a 44 metre section of Toolebuc Shale. The shale chips showed signs of hydrocarbons during sampling and will be analysed as part of Exoma’s 2012 shale appraisal program.

The well has been logged, cased and suspended for future permeability testing, which will be conducted later in 2012. The drill rig has been released to move to the next well, Darr-1.

Exoma has a 50% beneficial interest in both ATP 996P and the Alma-1 well. CNOOC Galilee Gas Company Pty Ltd is earning its participating interest by a farmin whereby CNOOC provides the first $50 million of joint venture expenditures on Exoma’s five Galilee Basin ATP’s.
