Expro: New member joins well abandonment services

Oilfield services provider Expro has appointed a new senior project manager, aiming to strengthen its well abandonment services.

Expro said on Thursday that Bill Inglis was named the new senior project manager.

The company launched fully integrated well abandonment services last year which included late-life reservoir management, permanent reservoir abandonment, and post abandonment monitoring.

According to the company, Inglis brings more than 25 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry, including drilling and completions superintendent for Hess Denmark, as well as single point accountability wells decommissioning for BP. This included a range of onshore and offshore decommissioning activity across the Schiehallion Claw, Don, and Magnus fields.

In his new position for Expro, he will be responsible for the planning, management, and execution of integrated well abandonment services.

The newly appointed project manager said: “The role of decommissioning is a complex one, which brings with it many challenges.

“We continue to focus on adding value to our clients by working with the latest technology to create efficient practices, ensuring they deliver these projects on time.”

Kevin Illingworth, Global Well Abandonment Manager for Expro, added: “We are thrilled to welcome Bill to our team at Expro. His breadth of experience, including both drilling and well abandonment, is invaluable when delivering comprehensive well abandonment campaigns.”
