ExxonMobil Malaysia names VP for Exploration & Production

The ExxonMobil Subsidiaries in Malaysia today announced that Ernest Miller has been appointed Vice President of ExxonMobil Exploration and Production Malaysia Inc. (EMEPMI) and Executive Financial Director of the ExxonMobil Subsidiaries in Malaysia with effect from April 1, 2014.

Prior to his appointment, Miller was Controller of EMEPMI. He began his career with EMEPMI in 1989 and has held a number of professional and managerial positions within the Controller’s and Audit organizations in Kuala Lumpur.

In 2003, he began a series of foreign assignments with ExxonMobil Controller’s and Treasurer’s organizations in ExxonMobil Production Company and ExxonMobil Gas & Power Marketing Company in Houston and at the corporate office in Irving, Texas.

In October 2008, Miller returned to Malaysia to assume the position of Controller of EMEPMI and of ExxonMobil’s Malaysian operations.

He is a professional accountant having graduated from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (UK).

Miller succeeds Puan Fatimah Merican who has retired after 37 years of service with EMEPMI.
