FERC working on Annova LNG environmental analysis

The U.S. FERC issued an update on the environmental review progress for Annova LNG’s proposed 6 mtpa export project on the southern bank of the Brownsville ship channel, in Cameron County, Texas.

FERC informed it is currently conducting the environmental analysis of the planned project based on the information provided by Annova LNG and the comments received from stakeholders. The results of the analysis will be presented in the environmental impact statement.

Annova LNG project is planned for six liquefaction trains each with a 1 mtpa production capacity from about 0.9 billion cubic feet per day of natural gas it would receive via a planned interstate pipeline.

The marine facilities would include an LNG carrier berth, a tug berth, a dock for support and security vessels, and a material offloading facility.

Exelon Generation is the majority owner of the Annova LNG project.
