Ferguson Group has ambitious plans for Australasia in 2014

The Ferguson Group, specialists in the rental of offshore containers, refrigerated containers, engineering modules and accommodation solutions to the offshore oil and gas sector, has strengthened its Australian team as a result of increasing product demand in the region.

Leigh Whicker and Joel Horsley recently joined Ferguson Group Australia. Along with Jennifer Millea, who joined mid 2013, they form the business development team based at Ferguson Group Australia’s facilities in Perth WA. Leigh joins the company as senior business development manager, whilst Joel Horsley joins the team as business development manager. The team collectively bring over 22 years’ oil and gas experience to the company.

The appointments will support the business development activities of Ferguson Group Australia and work closely with the regional partners Tek Ocean (Victoria NSW), SDV Logistics (East Timor) and Hooker Pacific (New Zealand).

Leigh and Joel will be instrumental in promoting this to the market.”

Ferguson Group has ambitious plans for Australasia during 2014, and strengthens the support it is able to provide the offshore energy sector as it experiences increased activity.

Penny continued: “The number and scale of projects offshore Australia, East Timor and New Zealand continues to increase and the large amount of people and equipment required results in demand for increased accommodation and work space.

“Ferguson Group has over 35 years’ experience in meeting these needs through the supply of high quality, reliable equipment. This means that we are extremely well placed to advise clients on the most appropriate, cost effective solutions for their needs and supply them with fit for purpose products, no matter the size of their project.”

Ferguson Group Australia supplies a range of DNV 2.7-1 accredited accommodation and workspace modules as well as cargo carrying units (CCUs), which includes full and half size containers, baskets and dry goods baskets, tanks, mud skips and tubular transportation frames (TTFs). The Group’s IceBlue Refrigeration division also supplies Refrigeration/Chiller modules to the Australian market, such as 3m and 6m dual zone temperature controlled units.

The Ferguson Group, with its headquarters in Aberdeen, Scotland, employs more than 230 people worldwide including its Australian bases in Perth WA, Broome, Dampier and Darwin.

Ferguson Group Australia will be exhibiting at stand K26 at the Australian Oil and Gas Exhibition and Conference (AOG) on 19-21 February 2014.
