Flex LNG, the shipping company controlled by billionaire John Fredriksen, aims to move its listing up to the Oslo Børs main list.

The LNG shipper said in a statement on Tuesday it had submitted an application to the Oslo Børs to transfer of listing of the company’s shares from the Oslo Axess board.

Oslo Børs is preferred by larger companies and represents a full stock exchange listing in accordance with EU requirements, while Oslo Axess is suitable for companies that have less than three years of history, according to the Oslo Børs website.

Flex LNG currently has six MEGI LNG carriers with a capacity of about 174,000 cbm under construction at Samsung Heavy and Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering for delivery in 2018 and 2019.
