Floatel Victory flotel on its way to Westcon yardNorway’s Westcon Yard has informed that the Floatel Victory flotel will be arriving at its yard in Ølensvåg, Norway today, May 18, 2015.

The rig will take its place next to semi-sub Transocean Leader that arrived in February and flotel Safe Scandinavia that arrived in March for a conversion work into a tender support vessel.

Floatel Victory, Floatel Internatonal’s accommodation and construction support vessel, is coming to Westcon for a minor upgrade job and it will be there for 18 days.

Afterwards, the vessel will go out on a testing that will last one week.

“We look forward to an effective and safe mission with Floatel Victory,” said Malvin Eide, rig manager at Westcon.

Floatel Victory was delivered to Floatel International in November 2013 and is designed for operations in the UK North Sea. It is 119.6 metres long and it has an accommodation capacity of 500 beds in one and two men cabins.
