FMC wins NWS job from Woodside

FMC Technologies said on Monday it has been awarded a contract by LNG player Woodside to design, manufacture and supply subsea production systems for the Greater Western Flank Phase 2 project in Western Australia.

GWF-2 is the fourth major gas development for the North West Shelf project in the last seven years and it is expected to develop 1.6 trillion cubic feet of raw gas from its combined six fields using subsea infrastructure and 35 kilometers of 16-inch pipeline connecting to the existing Goodwyn A platform, stands in FMC’s statement.

Under the contract valued at US$180 million, FMC Technologies will deliver subsea production trees, wellheads, manifolds, subsea and topside controls, and flowline connection systems.

Deliveries of the systems are scheduled to start in 2016 and go on through 2018 while the production from the GWF-2 project is expected to start in 2019.
