France: Navalu Launches SeaFox

France Navalu Launches SeaFox

French work boat builder Navalu launched the SeaFox, an offshore wind farm service catamaran last Wednesday, 18 September 2013.

This vessel, with a total length of 24 meters and width of 9.90 meters, was designed to work on offshore wind farms in the North Sea.

Built for Enviroserve, shipowner based in Lowestoft (Suffolk), the vessel can carry up to twelve technicians and 12 tons of cargo.

During the first sea trials, the SeaFox passed the waterlines testing and achieved high speed performances, which exceeded 24 knots with 90% of the main engine powerful rate, despite the unsuitable sailing conditions in the Atlantic Sea. The SeaFox also showed an excellent sea keeping capability.
