FUGRO-TSM Bags Pipeline IRM Contract from Oil Search

FUGRO-TSM has been awarded the Kumul Marine Terminal Pipeline IRM Contract from Oil Search Limited.

The contract is for the provision of a DP2 DSV to support air diving services around the Kumul Marine Terminal in the Gulf of Papua, PNG. Fugro-TSM has mobilised the Rem Etive, complete with work class ROV, air diving spread and associated diver tooling to undertake the IRM works around the platform, oil export pipeline and CALM Buoy. Cal Dive International has been subcontracted to provide air diving services.

The South East Trade Winds are well known in the Gulf of Papua to routinely produce winds upwards of 25 Knots and swells in excess of 2.5m during the period that the REM Etive will be working. Fugro-TSM’s Commercial Director, Geoff Hogg, says that “with its size and DP station keeping ability, the REM Etive is well suited to operating in the difficult conditions expected on site.”

Upon completion of this IRM contract the REM Etive will return to Singapore to fulfill other commitments.

Kumul Marine Terminal is important for the PNG LNG Project. The PNG LNG Project will produce additional associated liquids which will be exported via the terminal.
