Future Energy Moves to New Premises

Future Energy Engineering Ltd, a provider of engineering services to the offshore renewables, subsea and oil & gas industries, has moved to new premises in the Blyth Estuary Renewable Enterprise Zone (BEREZ), Northumberland.

Our new home in the Brunel Building, Blyth, is part of the Offshore Renewable Energy (ORE) Catapult’s site and provides a base for our growing company, which since establishing in 2011 has provided consultancy services from various locations worldwide,” Future Energy said in a press release.

Future Energy selected the Blyth enterprise zone because this area of the North East connects the company to neighbouring businesses such as the ORE Catapult (formerly Narec), the UK’s flagship technology innovation and research centre for offshore wind, wave and tidal energy; and others working within the renewable energy sector, the company explained.

Hender Blewett, Managing Director, said: “This move is an important milestone in our growth and marks the start of the next phase in our business development. We are focused on expanding the company, creating the optimal team to deliver our services.”

Stephen Robertson, Commercial Manager, ORE Catapult, said: “We are pleased to be supporting Future Energy Engineering. Helping SMEs provide innovative solutions to address some of the challenges faced by the offshore renewables sector is a key focus area for the ORE Catapult.

“There is a growing cluster of specialist SMEs who are operating in and around Blyth, which is great for the local community. It is encouraging to see Future Energy Engineering going from strength to strength and this will hopefully encourage more companies to set up in the area, helping to bring this offshore renewable energy hub to life.”
