The vessel in question is the 83,270 cbm Jag Vasant, which the company had contracted to buy in the second quarter of fiscal year 2019.

The company currently has a fleet of 49 vessels, comprising 35 tankers and 14 dry bulk carriers with an average age of 10.9 years.

So far this year, G E Shipping made a number of vessel transactions, as the company reshuffled its fleet.

The company earlier sold two of its dry bulk vessels and reached agreements to purchase a number of secondhand gas carriers.
