State-run gas company GAIL (India) is reportedly aiming to import a total of 75 cargoes of liquefied natural gas (LNG) in the financial year 2020.

Citing the company’s chairman B C Tripathi, Reuters reports that GAIL is has sold its U.S. LNG volumes until 2020, as well as up to 90 percent of its U.S. volumes beyond 2020.

The number of cargoes imported is set to jump from 62 in the Financial Year 2019.

Tripathi further added that the company is looking to loan up to $720 million during the FY2020.

The company will additionally explore LNG transportation and bunkering business, following a memorandum of understanding it has signed with ExxonMobil.
