Speaking to Platts, Jakub Przyborowicz, coordinator of the Brussels office at Gaz System, said a US LNG company has already expressed interest to supply the floating storage and regasification unit.

The project, to be built by Polskie LNG, the country’s terminal operator, would include a 4.5 Bcm/year FSRU. The project is set to supply the industrial customers as it will be located in Gdansk Bay, the country’s most industrialized area.

No precise timeline for the project has yet been given as the company is still evaluating its options whether to buy or rent the FSRU. The project completion, however, is set for 2025.
