German Shipyard Nobiskrug Delivers 74 m Mega Yacht Sapphire to Her Owners

In April 2011 the German shipyard Nobiskrug delivered its Project No. 781, MY “Sapphire” to her Owners – right on time to enjoy the summer season. This high-end yacht with a length of 74 m was built by Nobiskrug with an exterior and interior design by Newcruise Yacht Projects & Design.

“Sapphire” is totally custom-made and has several innovative features. The concept provides for multi-functional spaces. One highlight is the extensive exterior LED lighting. The enormous sun deck offers a big Jacuzzi and a bar forward. Large raised sunbathing platforms as well as an outside cinema invite for relaxation.

Particularly at night it looks spectacular when the bar and other outer deck furniture are lit by integrated lighting. These special illumination effects are throughout the whole exterior of the yacht. Following the design concept, the circular aft main deck can be either a helicopter platform or a dance-floor for cheerful celebrations. Also it can be used as a balcony, which extends over the sea and in combination with the huge bathing platform on the lower deck the arrangement creates a lovely split-level beach club area. The main saloon of this impressive yacht is decorated with black Zebrano floorboards, bleached and burr maple furniture and white horsehair covered panelling. Full height windows present a marvellous uninterrupted view over the ocean.

The Owner’s suite leads to a dressing room with two adjacent bathrooms – for him and her. Next to the suite is a sizable private office. The contemporary and puristic design is continued in the VIP cabin and the four guest cabins. Particular attention has been paid to an efficient engineering. “Sapphire” achieves a maximum speed of 17.3 knots by two MTU main engines with 1,760 kW each.
