Germany- PRO NAUTAS Wins Communication Solution Contract from HHL

GmbH, independent experts in providing maritime electronics solutions to the merchant industry, announced that it was selected by the leading heavy lift shipping company Hansa Heavy Lift (HHL) to provide total ship-to-shore communications and maintenance solutions contract for their 21+ vessels.

PRO NAUTAS was a logical best choice for Hansa Heavy Lift: Based on their positive experience of PRO NAUTAS’ successful execution of their existing fleet maintenance contract, Hansa Heavy Lift assigned PRO NAUTAS with the important task to set up and complete the ship’s IT support network, including installation, commissioning, maintenance and remote IT services.

All vessels will be equipped with the new Sailor 900 VSAT and Sailor 500 FleetBroadband from Thrane & Thrane. The SAILOR 900 VSAT Ku-band antenna system was chosen for this project because it delivers superior performance at sea and is by far the quickest to deploy on board as it comes completely pre-configured and perfectly balanced for worldwide operation. PRO NAUTAS was among the first companies to order and install the newly launched VSAT equipment from Thrane & Thrane, doing so in December 2011.

PRO NAUTAS airtime partner Vizada will provide connectivity through their Global Maritime Broadband Bundles, seamlessly integrating Ku-band VSAT, Inmarsat FleetBroadband and Vizada’s proprietary maritime communications platform, Vizada XChange.

The installations will provide HHL fleet-wide with a standardized IT and communication infrastructure enabling seamless redundant communication between offices and vessels. At the same time the crew can stay in touch with their families while at sea, using the internet, email or make private calls.

PRO NAUTAS is a “Total Solution” provider of Navigation, Communication, Ship’s IT, Airtime, Remote maintenance and 24/7/365 global service.
