Germany: Stein Dale to Lead E.ON International Energy

Stein Dale to Lead E.ON International Energy

Stein Dale will take over the leadership of E.ON International Energy effective June 1st, 2012, giving him responsibility for further expanding E.ON’s business outside Europe, particularly in Brazil, India, and Turkey.

Dale is currently CEO of Multiconsult, an Oslo-based international consulting firm whose main business areas include energy, oil and gas, and infrastructure. Prior to this, he held a variety of leadership positions at the Norwegian energy company, Statkraft, which gave him many years of experience in strategy development and implementation, as well as mergers and acquisitions. He became Statkraft’s Chief Financial Officer in 2008, which also made him responsible for the company’s investments outside Europe.

The current CEO of E.ON International Energy, Frank Mastiaux, is leaving E.ON amicably and at his own request, effective October 1, 2012, to become CEO of EnBW.

E.ON AG CEO Johannes Teyssen: “Stein Dale is a top international manager with outstanding experience and abilities, so we’re very pleased to be bringing him on board. Under his leadership, the dynamism of our expansion outside Europe will continue unabated. I’d like to express my sincere thanks to Frank Mastiaux for his superb achievements in establishing our renewables business and launching our activities outside Europe. I wish him the best of success in his new role at EnBW.”
