Giovenco Nets Wheatstone Contract

Giovenco Industries announced that it has signed a contract with Bechtel to perform scaffolding erection services on the Chevron-operated Wheatstone Project in Western Australia.

The contract value is estimated at over AU$85 million and is expected to create over 150 jobs located onsite at Ashburton North, 12 kilometres west of Onslow in Western Australia. The new positions will include the provision of key Giovenco management personnel, scaffolders and support roles for the project.

The contract has been awarded to provide scaffold erection services to support the mechanical installation, painting, insulation and other works throughout the construction of the project. The scope of work includes planning, design, engineering and erection of scaffolding.

Paul Giovenco, Managing Director and CEO said, “We are excited by the job opportunities this project brings to Western Australia.”

“The contract award allows us to further strengthen our long term relationship with Bechtel and Chevron and gives us a platform to continue our long term commitment to Western Australia within Perth and regional centres.”

“This gives our business that has been family owned and operated for over 58 years a chance to bring our family safety culture to the Wheatstone Project by working closely with our clients and fellow contractors to achieve Zero Accidents and Incidents.”
