Global Maritime Introduces New Service Line

Global Maritime introduced a new and important service line, Marine Casualty Investigation. Building on our existing comprehensive business offering, Marine Casualty Investigation (MCI) acts on behalf of hull & machinery underwriters, P&I clubs, owners, ship managers, drilling rig owners and lawyers, investigating the cause and extent of damage to marine related incidents.

Global Maritime, across its four dedicated MCI hubs in London, New York, Abu Dhabi and Singapore has been surging ahead with a variety of instructions, ranging from expert witness legal advice through to desktop reviews and casualty attendances. Established support from markets worldwide has granted Global Maritime a strong platform to launch a global service and consequently, the ability to build an impressive portfolio of work in a relatively short period of time.

Following the successful launch, Global Maritime is looking to expand this offering to areas in the Middle East as well as build on the existing team of surveyors. Speaking on behalf of the department in London, John Quarrington, Group Director MCI says: “We are fortunate to have been able to hire in a team of very experienced H&M surveyors who are not only known, but also well respected by the market. We intend to build upon this strong group in the coming months in order to move the business line forward and fulfil the requirements of the industry.”
