GNF: Gas Natural Rioja starts natural gas supplies to San Asensio

Gas Natural Fenosa recently informed its unit, Gas Natural Rioja began gas supplies to San Asensio, following the start-up of the LNG plant, control station and the first section of the natural gas supply network.

The works were a part of Gas Natural Rioja’s San Asensio pipeline project, which entails an investment of 600,000 euros to build the LNG plant, which has already been completed, and over five kilometres of the distribution network.

In its statement, GNF said the 30 cbm natural gas plant is located in the La Mina industrial area adding that the first 4.5 kilometers of the pipeline have already been built.

Gas Natural Fenosa is implementing the LNG plant projects to deliver natural gas to remote areas that have no access to the gas transmission systems, such as the town of San Asensio and Pradejón. The company plans to bring such plants to Cervera del Río Alhama in the near future.
