Golar LNG newbuild heads for Portugal

REN’s Sines LNG terminal in Portugal is expected to receive a cargo of the chilled gas on February 9.

The 160,000 cbm Golar Crystal is carrying the cargo from Nigeria’s Bonny LNG export plant, port data reveals.

Golar LNG recently said it has chartered its two newbuilds Golar Crystal and Golar Frost to Nigeria LNG for a period of 12 months.

NLNG has decided to retire 3 of its smaller LNG carriers and to replace these with Golar’s more modern ships while the company awaits the delivery of its own recently ordered new vessels.
