Gulf Offshore Norge to Build Another PSV of Skipsteknisk Design, Norway

Gulf Offshore Norge, a subsidiary of Gulfmark Offshore, Inc. has exercised an option to build another PSV of Skipsteknisk design, at SIMEK in Flekkefjord Norway.

The vessel designated ST-216 Arctic, is based on the successful ST-216L CD design, but will have new modified bow shape and a new improved tank configuration.

This vessel is designed for harsh environment operations, and will be ice classed and winterized for cold climate conditions. ST-216 Arctic will have over 1000 square meters of deck area and large cargo carrying capacity. In addition, the vessel will have a green profile and fitted for rescue and oil recovery capabilities.

This is the second vessel of ST-design ordered by Gulf Offshore Norway.

Delivery of this vessel is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2013.
