Havila Shipping names new deputy managing director

Norwegian shipping company Havila Shipping has appointed a new deputy managing director.

Havila said on Wednesday that it appointed Olav Haug Vikebakk as its next deputy managing director.

According to the company, Vikebakk will join the company on August 1, 2018, from Rolls Royce where he currently holds the position of senior vice president of customer and service for Europe and Africa.

According to Vikebakk’s LinkedIn profile, he previously held the position of SVP of global sales and marketing, vice president of propulsion, and vice president of sales – commercial marine.

He also held the positions of general manager sales – offshore S&S propulsion, deputy vice president of offshore propulsion, general manager of projects, and business controller – all at Rolls Royce.
