Havyard to Design New Esvagt Ship

Havyard Design & Solutions has secured a contract for delivery of design and equipment for the construction of a Havyard 832 multi-purpose vessel.

Havyard 832 MPV is going to be constructed at the Cemre Shipyard in Turkey for the ship owner Esvagt, and will be in operation for the American oil company Hess.

This will become the sixth Havyard vessel contracted by Esvagt. The other contracts are four wind service operation vessels and one crew change vessel. The latest contract is the first one within the oil segment.

Namely, Esvagt and Hess, have agreed to extend their relationship for an additional twelve years for works related to the South Arne field.

Esvagt has supplied Hess with supply and standby vessels for the South Arne platform, as well as connecting tank vessels to Hess’ production tanks.

The new contract will expand the scope of work to include service, maintenance and inspection of the hose system and to perform service vessel duties in connection with work on Hess’ unmanned platforms. These operations will be handled by the new Havyard 832 MPV.

In addition to design, Havyard will also deliver ship equipment system packages with a total value of more than NOK 100 mill, including Havyard’s own Concept Bridge.

Work on design and ship equipment system packages will start immediately and the vessel is due to be delivered during spring 2018, Havyard said.
