Highlights of the Week

Subsea World News has put together a recap of the most interesting articles from the previous week (January 01 – January 07).


DOF Subsea has been awarded two new ROV contracts by Petrobras in Brazil.

ROVs will be installed on board Skandi Angra and Skandi Paraty. The new contracts start in April 2018 and end in September and November 2020, respectively.

 

 


DeepOcean has been awarded a contract for performing marine operation scope on the Snorre Expansion Project in the North Sea.

The award covers project management, engineering, procurement of anchors for risers and umbilicals and offshore installation activities.

 


Oceanteam and Royal IHC have signed a deal under which IHC will acquire all of the outstanding share capital of Oceanteam’s Dutch based KCI the Engineers B.V.

IHC plans to maintain KCI as an independent brand and operating company which will continue to serve external clients whilst also working on IHC projects.

 


Solstad Farstad (SOFF) said it has entered a bareboat contract with Bahia Grande for the CSV Normand Commander for operation in Argentina.

The contract period is 5 years firm, with further 1×3 years option. According to Solstad Farstad, the contract is scheduled to start in February 2018.

 


Ashtead Technology and Forum Energy Technologies have completed their joint venture, with effect from January 03, 2018.

As part of the transaction, Forum Energy Technologies contributed its subsea rentals business, which traded as Forum Subsea Rentals.
