Subsea robotic firm, Aleron Subsea, established in 2010 by Mike Bisset, is a specialist ROV refurbishment, upgrade, sales and rental company with currently 8 work class ROV systems.

French vessel owner and provider of marine and subsea services, Bourbon, will pull out up to 35 supply vessels from operation as it tries to adapt to challenging market conditions and maintain its focus on cost control.

The company informed in its 1H 2015 financial report it will continue to temporarily stack certain vessels which have no anticipated activity for 3 months and currently expects that there will be up to 35 supply vessels stacked during the 2nd half of 2015.

Proserv has announced the acquisition of Aberdeen-based Nautronix.

Employing 120 people, Nautronix provides a range of products and services including; NASNet®, NASCoM, NASDrill, NASDive and Survey Services. The transaction includes Nautronix chief operating officer Mark Patterson joining Proserv.

Oceaneering International has secured a contract from Shell Offshore to supply umbilicals for the deepwater Appomattox development located in the Mississippi Canyon area of the U.S. Gulf of Mexico.

The order is for electro-hydraulic steel tube control umbilicals, totaling approximately 60 kilometers (37 miles) in length.

GE Oil & Gas has signed a framework agreement with Statoil to provide subsea operations services for the company’s operated fields Tordis, Vigdis, Snorre and Troll, located north west off the coast of Stavanger.

GE Oil & Gas will run the services from their Dusavik site, providing subsea operations services, including offshore installation and intervention, equipment repair and maintenance, studies, upgrades and modifications.
