Horizon 2020 Allocates €118 Mln for Renewables

Horizon 2020, the biggest EU Research and Innovation programme, has issued a call for submission in renewable energy technologies and low carbon energy.

A total of €118.3 million in total will be available for project proposals while a sum of €61.3 million will go for developing of the next generation technologies of renewable electricity and heating/cooling.

Other categories include: fostering international cooperation in the area of renewable energy, enabling the decarbonisation of the use of fossil fuels during the transition to a low-carbon economy and social, economic and human aspects of the energy system.

The call deadline is on 16 February 2016.
