HRT Announces Update on 3D Seismic Operations in Namibia

On May 14, a PGS vessel completed the acquisition of 1,500 km2 of 3D seismic survey in the Block 2815 of the Orange Sub-basin, which data is now being processed.

However, the 3D seismic data acquisition held by the vessel Polarcus Samur, which was being performed in the offshore 2813A, 2814B, 1914A and 2713A blocks in the same sub-basin, was suspended on May 12 due to the adverse weather conditions that are common at this time of the year. Before the interruption of the suvey, Polarcus Samur had covered one-third of the 2,660 km2 contracted by the Company. The acquisition will resume in November 2011.

ARRIVAL OF FIRST BATCH OF 3D SEISMIC DATA FROM NAMIBIA

At the beginning of June, HRT received 15 boxes containing 3592 seismographic tapes related to the acquisition of 3D seismic data in the blocks 2112B and 2212A, in the Walvis Basin, and 2713A and 2813A, in the Orange Basin, Namibia. The seismic surveys were undertaken by the vessels Naila and Samur, both owned by Polarcus Limited.

These tapes were sent to CGGVeritas RJ for analysis and processing. Subsequently, the processed data will be sent to HRT America for interpretation in order to select the most appropriate drilling locations.
