Death of cruise ship passenger is ruled suicide

A woman committed suicide on the Carnival cruise ship Conquest by jumping off of an upper deck and landing on the balcony of a cabin several decks below, Houston FBI Special Agent Shauna Dunlap said.

The 48-year-old woman’s name and hometown were not released. The death occurred Saturday and the body was turned over to the Galveston County Medical Examiner’s office for autopsy.
