Syndicated bid for Port Qasim dredging

LR-Fairplay reports that three dredging majors look set to make a syndicated bid for the US$124 million capital dredging project at Qasim port, Pakistan.

The trio are said to be Dredging International (DI), Jan De Nul (JDN) and China Harbour Engineering Company (CHEC).

Two other companies, China Water and Electric (CWE) and Van Oord ACZ of the Netherlands, are also participating in the tender which seeks to deepen and widen the port channel by 2010.
