Farstad vessels booked

Farstad Shipping has arranged two new charter deals which will see its anchor handling, tug support (AHTS) vessels operating off Indonesia and Australia.

The deals are together worth around NOK 330 – 420 million depending on options.

Under the terms of an agreement with Eni, the Italian explorer has booked the Far Sound and Far Sword (both UT712L – 15,900bhp) to support its Indonesian drilling campaign with the Jack Bates semi-submersible rig.

The program is schedule to begin in October and continue for approximately 240-260 days.

Under the second deal, Australian Drilling Associates have secured the AHTS vessels Lady Astrid and Lady Caroline (both UT712 – 13,200bhp) in support of their drilling campaign on behalf of a consortium of operators around Australia with the Songa Venus semisub.

The program is expected to start in October and will be for one year with options to extend for an equivalent period.
