Trio see offshore Norway deals extended

Halliburton, MI Swaco and Schlumberger have seen their deals extended by StatoilHydro for the provision of cementing and fluid services offshore Norway.

The extensions are collectively worth NOK 2.5 billion.

The two-year contract extension with Halliburton covers fluid and cementing services on several installations, while the deal with MI Swaco is for fluid services and has also been extended for a further two years.

The two-year contract extension with Schlumberger comprises cementing services and all of the agreements come into force on 1 September 2008.

Chief Procurement Officer in StatoilHydro, Anders Opedal said: “StatoilHydro expects its suppliers to deliver according to high HSEQ standards. These contract extensions are a direct consequence of the suppliers’ ability to meet our expectations.”
