SLPA planning bunkering activities in H’tota port

The Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA) is planning to start bunkering activities at the Hambantota Port during the first quarter of next year. However, the Ports will start cargo handling in November, this year. SLPA Chairman Priyath B. Wickrama told Daily Mirror yesterday that plans are afoot mostly to do offshore bunkering for ships using the trader artery in the Indian Ocean, below Hambantota.
