Container ports attract private investment

Once operational, Dung Quat will be the largest port in the central region. The deep sea port will be able to receive container vessels of tonnage up to 30,000 tonnes. The construction of the port is estimated to cost VND575bil ($35.93mil), including investment capital of VND404bil ($25.25mil) for the first phase of the project.

Contrary to predictions that it would be difficult to find investors interested in seaports, this project has turned out to be attractive.
