Navy to christen USNS Sacagawea

The U.S. Navy is christening a ship named after American Indian guide Sakakawea, who joined famed explorers Meriwether Lewis and William Clark in North Dakota and accompanied them to the Pacific Northwest. The ship, which will transfer cargo to other ships at sea, will be named the USNS Sacagawea, following the more common spelling of the woman who is known as Sakakawea in North Dakota.
