RasGas launches two more ships

At a formal ceremony here, Ras Laffan Liquefied Natural Gas Company Limited (II), RasGas (II) announced the naming of a further two long term charter LNG tankers.

RasGas (II) celebrated the launch of the ships at a joint naming ceremony in South Korea hosted by the ship builders, Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering Co Ltd.

The two ships, owned by Teekay Nakilat Corporation, a consortium between Teekay Shipping and Nakilat, were named in the Daewoo Shipyard. The ships each have an LNG cargo carrying capacity of 151,700m3 and will be the largest RasGas ships delivered to date.
