Shipyard Targeted For Closure Receives Commendation

KITTERY, Maine — The imperiled Portsmouth Naval Shipyard on the Maine-New Hampshire border will be recognized on Thursday for outstanding work.

Shipyard leaders will be presented with a Meritorious Unit Commendation, acknowledging the shipyard’s “invaluable contribution” to national security.
