Shipping lines lift rates for trans-Pacific cargo

SINGAPORE Neptune Orient Lines, Evergreen Marine and 10 other shipping companies will raise a surcharge on containers they move to the United States from Asia to a record to help recover some of the costs from high fuel prices.
