Marine Police Special Units ‘Add Punch’ To Anti-Piracy Ops

Marine police have set up three special units to give an “added punch” to their anti-piracy operations. Police internal security and public order director Othman Talib said the units handled combat dives, intelligence and special investigations. The units had already scored a major success with the capture of seven Indonesian pirates at Tanjung Stapa in Kota Tinggi, Johor, on April 21, he told reporters during a visit to the southern region marine police headquarters, here Tuesday.
