Pasha rescue about to start

SALVAGE experts are about to begin the first phase of an operation to refloat the bulk carrier Pasha Bulker stuck fast off a beach at Newcastle on the NSW coast.

The 40,000 tonne vessel ran aground on a sandbar off Nobbys Beach during a severe storm on June 8.
All going well, she could be refloated on fuller spring tides at the end of the month.
