The EuroCarrier 2712 – DP1 – TIER III, named Maasstroom, will be deployed for single and double towing operations, anchor handling, port-related crane and transport works, survey and geotechnical services, and support for dredging activities.

Van Wijngaarden Marine Services and Neptune Marine signed the contract for the vessel’s construction in January.

With the last structural works almost complete, the hull construction is entering its final stage and the launch is scheduled for next week, Van Wijngaarden Marine Services reported.

After launching, the vessel will be transported to Neptune Shipyards in Aalst, where the outfitting phase will begin, as part of which technical systems, interior spaces, and remaining components will be installed to bring the vessel closer to full operation.

Maasstroom’s delivery is expected in September, when it will become the fourth Neptune Marine-built ship within the Van Wijngaarden Marine Services fleet.
