Hypertherm’s New Facility Wins LEED Gold Designation

Hypertherm, a U.S. based manufacturer of plasma, laser, and waterjet cutting systems, today announced a LEED Gold designation for its new manufacturing facility in Lebanon, New Hampshire.

The facility is the only of its kind in the State of New Hampshire to receive a Gold or Platinum designation.

The 160,000 square foot facility, in operation for about a year, received a total of 62 points from the U.S. Green Building Council. The USGBC’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design program represents best in class green building practices measuring the design, construction, maintenance and operation of green buildings.

“We are grateful to the amazing team of professionals who helped us stay true to our core values and environmental goals by guiding us through this process,” said Barbara Couch, director of corporate social responsibility for Hypertherm. “The end result coupled with today’s LEED Gold announcement is more than we ever could have hoped for.”

The new facility will accommodate Hypertherm’s  growth in a number of areas. In addition to fostering the eventual creation of up to 500 new jobs, the facility includes advanced research and development space, training classrooms, and engineering labs.
