IKM Testing lands North Sea contract with Teekay

IKM Testing, a supplier of mechanical completion and commissioning services, has been awarded a three-year contract by Teekay for multiple North Sea assets.

IKM said on Tuesday that the contract with Teekay entails the multi-service provision of nitrogen pumping, nitrogen/helium leak detection, flange management, hydraulic bolting and tensioning, and hot oil flushing.

Mark Rasmusen, Director International Division at IKM Testing UK, said: “This award strengthens the relationship IKM has built with Teekay globally and reinforces our dedication to providing tailored, cost-effective solutions to meet our clients’ needs.”

Teekay, a provider of floating, production, storage and offloading (FPSO) solutions has a fleet of ten FPSOs, six of which operate in the North Sea, three off the coast of Brazil, while one vessel is under conversion, all under medium to long-term contracts.

In related news, IKM Testing’s Thailand entity was recently awarded a service contract by Aibel for the drilling platform which will be used on the Johan Sverdrup field, offshore Norway.

Also, IKM Consultants, a company in the IKM Group, secured an extended framework agreement on Monday for hire of personnel with Wintershall in Norway.
