As informed by Imabari, the crude oil tanker is scheduled for completion in fall 2020.

The shipbuilder has not revealed the price of the new vessel.

The ship design is said to reflect the needs of shippers and shipowners, with the optimum hull and energy saving technologies.

To be equipped with SOx scrubber system, the newbuilding would comply with both SOx and NOx regulations.

More than 180 vessels are currently being built at Imabari shipyards, VesselsValue’s data shows. Containerships, bulkers and other ships under construction at Imabari facilities are slated for delivery between 2019 and 2021.
