India’s Dahej to get Qatari LNG cargo

Qatar, the world’s largest LNG producer, sent a cargo of the chilled gas from Ras Laffan port to India on Thursday.

The 155,000 cbm LNG tanker Aseem, managed by the Shipping Corporation of India (SCI), is expected to arrive at Petronet’s Dahej LNG terminal on September 7, shipping data reveals.

Petronet buys 7.5 million tonnes of LNG per year from Qatar’s RasGas under a 25-year contract the two companies signed in 1999.

RasGas has in January this year delivered the 1000th LNG cargo from its Ras Laffan facility to India’s largest LNG importer.
